We thank Ms. Krishown, our popular Wando biology teacher, for guiding us on our road to conservation. She's as passionate as we are about our mission and opportunities, and built the first duck boxes on our school campus before we were even students! At Wando DU, we believe it is important for teens and adults to be involved in our mission.
Finlay (finlay.dooley@wandoducks.com) had always seen Ducks Unlimited products, but he never knew the background and ethos of the organization. After diving into DU's mission, goal, and seeing the impact of their everyday efforts, he felt obligated to bring the beauty of waterfowl and wetlands conservation to Wando High School.
An avid outdoorsman, he jumped at the idea of being able to protect the wildlife of SC. He brings a welcome perspective to include the opinions of young sportsman regionally. It doesn't hurt that he is tall when cleaning out duck boxes.
Vijay is a student at Wando and one of the first to join Wando DU. As Finlay's friend and neighbor, he was the first to show his support for both conservation and the club.
Wando Ducks Varsity Chapter is nothing without YOU, our members and supporters! Please join us and spread the word.
